Every stay at Buffalo Woods includes access to our walking trails, which wind through the planted pine forest with open views of the pasture — you might catch the cows grazing nearby. It's a quiet, easy way to stretch your legs and take in the land. We recommend bug spray and a quick tick check when you're back.

Climb in and ride around the farm with Mr. Randy, now in his 50th tobacco crop on this land. You'll see the fields, the equipment, and the cattle up close, and hear firsthand how farming in Wendell has changed over the last five decades. Choose your ride based on your group size and preference — the farm truck (most authentic- expect dirt, and for it to smell like work), an SUV (most comfortable), or our John Deere Gator side-by-side (most adventurous, seats 2). Bring your questions; Randy's got the stories.

Pick a package sized for your group and we'll have it stocked in your freezer before you arrive. Every cut comes from our family's cattlemen: Rocky River Ranch. Cook it up during your stay, or pack it home with the included cooler bag and ice packs.

1 lb ground beef, 4 hamburger patties, 1 lb stew beef, 2 prime steaks
Gathering Package: $200
3 lbs ground beef, 12 hamburger patties, 3 lbs stew beef, 6 prime steaks
Farm-to-Freezer Beef Packages
- Private use of the house, 8am–8pm
- Porches, kitchen, and living spaces (bedrooms not included)
- A quiet home base for photo shoots or work days
- Bookable up to 7 days in advance for Friday–Sunday and up to 14 days in advance for Monday–Thursday

Buffalo Woods offers daytime access to a peaceful farmhouse setting for small groups, creative projects, and private retreats (up to 8 guests). A beautiful place to focus, create, gather, or use as a home base for photography sessions.
